In reply to your Letter of the 20th Ultimo inclosing a Copy of a Dispatch from the Governor of Hong Kong, dated 19th August last, and the Answer which Earl Grey proposes to return to it in relation to a Sum of £1224 Claimed by Her Majesty's Government from the Trustees of St John's Cathedral on account of the erection of that Building, I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to inform you that they have instructed A Deputy to examine the accounts of 1850.
